Job Summary The OBGYN Laborist Role A is an in-house position which ensures that safe, high quality, evidence-based care is provided to obstetric patients and that hospital resources are managed in a clinically appropriate way. In sites where residents andor medical students are present this may include resident supervision and education. The OBGYN Laborist Role A is the primary, first line provider who is expected to be immediately available and present during the entirety of their shift.ASSIGNMENT:24 Hour In-House Call Coverage ProgramLOCATION: High volume labor and delivery units (>3,000 deliveries per year) Essential Functions Prevention of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality by ensuring that all inpatient obstetric care meets andor exceeds current standards of care.
