Emergency Medicine Memorial Hermann has an opportunity for a full-time APP to join our Emergency Medicine team at Memorial Hermann Pearland Hospital located in Southeast Houston. The qualified candidate should be board certified or eligible with a current DEA. Position Highlights: Approximate Annual Volumes - 37,000 Approximate Daily Volumes - 102 Level IV Trauma Center 18 beds including traumacritical, isolation, and pediatric examtreatment rooms Comprehensive, on-site laboratory services with certified technicians Advanced imaging services including digital X-ray, ultrasound and CT-scan Streamlined admission system for more efficient transfer to a hospital room, if needed Accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) Individual triage with excellent customer service Equipped to stabilize and transfer trauma patients, including Memorial Hermann Life Flight helicopter access to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital, Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital. Generous compensation Flexible scheduling Position Key Responsibilities: History and physical examination Clinical information synthesis and medical decision making Performance and interpretation of diagnostic testing Performance of therapeutic interventions and procedures Determination of patient disposition and sub-specialty consultation as needed Communicates effectively with patient care team members, consultants and most importantly families and children Manage, monitor, and coordinate the care of multiple active patients. Awareness of department flow and operations Maintains appropriate records and prepares chart documentation Performs within the scope of practice prescribed by licensure and certification. Performs other duties as assigned. CertificationSkills: Current Texas License Current DEA license Current National Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified Advance Trauma Life Support( ATLS) Certified- Preferred Nurse Practitioner: Emergency Medicine board Certified Proficient in the use of medical and surgical instruments and equipment required by work. Minimum Education: Degree as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Minimum Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in Emergency Medicine. Work Week: DayEvening, Weekends, Holidays
