Job Description

Lexington Clinic is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join a well-established community cancer treatment facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Lexington Clinic has been a leader in cancer care in central Kentucky since 1983. Together with Lexington Clinic, Markey Cancer Center operates two full-service community cancer care locations. This full-time role (Monday-Friday) offers a dynamic mix of inpatient and outpatient care, including hospital rounding, patient evaluations, coordination of care with physicians, consultations, follow-up visits, and participation in the on-call rotation. We are seeking an advanced practice provider who is compassionate, motivated, and eager to contribute to exceptional cancer care. Previous experience in hematology, medical oncology, or inpatient nursing is highly valued. Why Join Us? Summary of Role As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will closely partner with physicians to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform medical services and procedures within the scope of your medical license. Conduct patient histories and physicals Interpret clinical data and develop care plans Recommend and coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures Support treatment management and follow-up care Build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and colleagues Maintain all requirements to maintain the license including CMEs. Collaborate with facility staff and interdisciplinary teams Educate patients and families about treatment options and care goals Ensure a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for patients This role offers the opportunity to grow professionally while making a lasting impact on patients and their loved ones. Preferred Qualifications Masters degree in Nursing from an accredited program; current APRN licensure in good standing (Kentucky or applicable state) Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification or eligibility preferred OR graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification and Kentucky state licensure (or eligibility) Prior hematologyoncology or inpatient experience preferred Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification required Physical Requirements Ability to remain mobile andor in a stationary position for up to 8 hoursday Capability to lift, move, and transport patients, equipment, and supplies Strong manual dexterity, motor coordination, vision, and communication skills Ability to accurately read and interpret provider orders For more information about the Clinic and to apply visit: Note: This description reflects the general nature of the role and is not intended to list every duty or responsibility.
