This means you must have completed the ACT 120 training requirements at the time of hire. Out of state officers, who have completed their police academy training outside of Pennsylvania must be eligible for a waiver of training from MPOETC. For more information for requirements for a wavier of training please click on the following link from MPOETC. · Be a United Stated Citizen.· Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer.· Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.· Have a valid driver's license.· Must be able to successfully pass a background examination.· Be a resident of Elizabeth Township, or upon appointment, become a resident of Elizabeth Township within 18 months of employment. A physical agility test will be conducted at the Elizabeth Forward High School located at 1000 Weigles Hill Road Elizabeth, PA 15037 on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, starting at 10:00 am. The written examination will immediately follow. Upon successful completion of both, the candidate will be scheduled to attend an oral board at a date to be determined. General InformationJob Type: Full-time Pay: Starting pay is based off of 2025 ETPD Collective Bargaining Agreement.New hires must be Township residents after 18 months of service. New hire will serve a one-year term of probation.
