Residential Waste Collection Truck Operator - Huntsville, TXAre you ready to apply Make sure you understand all the responsibilities and tasks associated with this role before proceeding.We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious individual to operate heavy-duty trucks for residential waste collection in Huntsville, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:Operating and maneuvering heavy trucks to collect waste from residential areas.Transporting refuse to assigned disposal or transfer sites once the truck reaches capacity.Safely navigating through neighborhoods, including congested streets, narrow driveways, and alleys.Adhering to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company protocols.Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and reporting maintenance needs.Providing courteous and professional service to the public and team members.Compensation:$19 - $23 hourlyResponsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following tasks:Operates vehicle in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and document checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch.Attends and participates in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required by Live Oak Environmental or directed by the Route Manager.Works closely with the Route Manager to improve route efficiencies and identify best practices.Notifies Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.Notifies Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions including closed or impassable streets or alleyways, receptacles too heavy to service, or potential safety hazards.Communicates customer requests to the Dispatch or Route Manager.Completely dumps all receptacles and leaves the customer's location clean and free of debris.Follows route assignments as directed and completes end-of-day documentation and check-out process.Performs all duties as scheduled by the Route Manager or Dispatch and assists other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.Education and ExperienceEducation: None Required.Experience: One (1) year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other RequirementsLegally eligible to work in the United States.Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Drivers License with an air brake endorsement.Must be at least 18 years of age.Other Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities RequiredNone required.About CompanyBenefits:401(k) matchingDental InsuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceHolidaysMonday to FridayWeekends as neededShift:10-hour shiftDay shiftEvening shiftExperience:Waste Management Industry: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:CDL License (Required)#WHGEN2Compensation details: 19-23 Hourly WagePI93780d705df0-36310-37742675
