Smith & Meadows is a boutique law firm serving the legal needs of businesses and companies. We are seeking an attorney to join our active business and litigation practice. The ideal candidate will be career motivated to join our practice representing businesses and companies and will have the capacity to manage litigation, develop agreements, negotiate contracts, settle claims, and advocate for clients. Our attorneys build client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for clients.  ResponsibilitiesDrafting Legal PleadingsPreparing Legal AgreementsMaintaining Client RelationshipsManaging LitigationConducting Legal ResearchFiling Legal Documents• Assist in all phases of business litigation, including legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.• Support and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.• Develop case strategies and provide legal counsel tailored to client business objectives.• Participate in courtroom proceedings, hearings, and trial preparation.• Manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys, partners, and legal staff.Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunityQualifications & Skills:• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.• Licensed to practice law in Georgia or eligible for admission.• Strong legal writing and research skills with the ability to craft persuasive arguments.• A confident negotiator who is comfortable handling disputes and advocating for clients.• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal and factual issues.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.• Eager to learn and develop litigation skills with mentorship and training.
