ABOUT THE ROLEAll potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.This position is responsible for installation of plant electrical equipment, the proper electrical functioning of plant equipment, tools and machinery and to troubleshoot any electrical malfunctioning and to complete the appropriate repairs and maintenance.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHInstall electrical equipment and components including conductors, instrumentation, lighting, motors, controls, wiring, relays, transformers and conduit in accordance with the National Electric Code.Troubleshoot electrical problems in a systematic, logical manner to determine reasons for failures and necessary steps to make repairs.Perform necessary PMR to electrical and instrumentation installationsRead and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, process sheets, and assembly schematic drawings.Calibrate and adjust all electrical/electronic equipment according to manufacturer's specificationsUse the SAP system to document work progress, communicating work progress status and identify support needed for work completionPerform annual ground resistance testingPerform basic Preventive Maintenance on HVAC equipment and Compressed Air Drying equipmentEnsure safe work environment in compliance with all safety policy and procedures using appropriate tools and equipment for the task.Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.Respond to call-outs during non-work hours as needed.Contribute in making estimates of material requirements for preparation, requisitions of material neededDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORAssociate's degree or completion of Technical School and Apprenticeship program or equivalent in training, experience and education.Requires working knowledge of NEC code, electrical standards, pressure and temperature transmitters, PLC's, AC and DC drives, motors and their controls.At least 3 years industrial experience in electrical support and maintenance functions.Must have been employed as an electrician or electrician apprentice within the past 18 months.Must be knowledgeable of OSHA/MSHA safety requirements, especially those related to electrical operations and components.Able to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.Must possess a valid driver's license with record acceptable to company's insurance carrier and be willing to travel to other quarry sites throughout the region.The candidate must be willing to work overtime when required, including possible weekend and night work.Additional Requirements:Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
