While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.Primary Responsibilities:Act as the immediate line coordinator for the PACS, and VR support and management servicesOperate at an expert level in all areas of the departmental digital image acquisition, reporting and retrieval processesManage all radiology department aspects in the local operation of the PACS and VR and associated technology including radiology data integrity and departmental securityCoordinate with IT any/all radiology department network access issues. Request network access services as appropriate. This may include managing the introduction of new technology hardware/softwareFirst point of contact for department queries from radiologists and staff regarding the operation of the PACS, VR and policies related theretoRecognized front end expert user of PACS-RIS-Powerscribe and associated equipment through having knowledge and in-depth workflow experience in digital imaging radiology departmentsPerform regular systems tests, generate internal department reports and participate in clinical audit and trials as appropriateSuggest adjustments to the systems when required and to undertake remedial action where necessary. Where such remedial action is not possible they must be able to communicate the complex issues to the appropriate agency (IT dept. / vendors)Responsible for the development and deployment of departmental policies and procedures associated with the PACSNR systemsGenerate both adhoc and regular statistical reports based on complex data sets. Communicate the statistical results (including informatics, analysis and clinical staff) in a range of formats, including written and verbalResponsible for training staff/Radiologists in the use of the PACS and VR and associated technology, and ability to answer general and complex queries regarding bothLiaison with Clinical Managers/Supervisors and Clerical Administrators in the Radiology Departments and be the radiology contact between them and the software/vendor providers and IT helpdesksLiaison with outside departments with imaging equipment related Pacs projects and maintenanceAid in RIS maintenance and assist with issues as they ariseRegular attendance in Radiology staff and administrative meetingsMaintain strictest confidentiality in all aspectsPerform other related duties assigned as necessaryYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED (or higher)4+ years of experience in PACS (Picture archiving and communication systems) 3+ years of Radiology/ cardiology clinical experience and IT/ networking experience Ability to work weekends/ o
