The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments is an agency that helps improve the quality of life for residents of Santa Barbara County.The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.Come and join an agency that values its employees and its community, while working in beautiful Santa Barbara County.We are recruiting for an Accounting Technician l which is a full-time non-exempt position.Salary range and benefits offered are available for review on the SBCAG careers page.SBCAG supports a hybrid work environment, with 2 days per week required in the Santa Barbara office.The Accounting Technician I responsibilities may include assisting in the procurement process for supplies, equipment, professional services, capital acquisitions and construction projects.Performing contract administration and project management support.Performing technical and financial recordkeeping work in a variety of accounting functions including accounts payable, cash management analysis, and reconciliations.Performing a variety of administrative functions such as editing documents, answering calls, meeting coordination, agenda creation and committee support.The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments (SBCAG) is a regional planning agency comprised of Santa Barbara County and all eight incorporated cities within the county and is responsible for developing long range transportation plans, distributing local, state and federal transportation funds and acts as a forum for addressing regional and multi-jurisdictional issues.Learn more about SBCAG's work at Applicants must upload a cover letter, resume and SBCAG application online via the SBCAG careers page at by 3pm on July 18th, 2025.
