We welcome applications fromcandidateswith expertise in Catholic theology, as well as those who studyCatholicism fromthe perspective of other disciplinesí¢â‚¬"including Biblical studies,comparativestudies, cultural studies, ethics, gender and sexuality, history,literature, philosophy,politics, and ethnographyí¢â‚¬"and are open to the theologicaldimensions of theirscholarship. Successful candidates should be prepared to teachclasses that reflectthe cultural diversity of Roman Catholicism in the United Statesand around theworld. Excellence in teaching and research is expected. Thedoctoral degree mustbe held by June 30, 2024. The successful candidate will work closely with students in theDivinity Schoolí¢â‚¬â„¢sMaster of Divinity, Master of Theological Studies, and Master ofReligion inPublic Life programs, as well as PhD candidates in the Study ofReligion in theGraduate School of Arts and Sciences. They will also have anopportunity to teachundergraduates in Harvard College and to collaborate withcolleagues and studentsin other departments and schools in the University.
