Design Technology Administrator - Hybrid

The Design Technology Administrator's role is to be the foremost expert in BIM/CAD applications, primarily Revit and AutoCAD, across all of the company. The role serves as a point-of-contact for all questions, requests and points of staff engagement for the tools in their specialization. The role provides value by promoting efficient use of BIM/CAD systems, preventing technology overspend on investments, and improving staff satisfaction by providing stellar support. The Design Technology Administrator works to keep the company's technology up to date in an efficient, value-conscious and forward-thinking manner.Make sure to apply with all the requested information, as laid out in the job overview below.*Primary Responsibilities** Continually improves application usage across the company* Ensure that tools are reliably accessible and licensed appropriately* Acts as the primary thought leader for BIM/CAD applications, providing company-wide insights, trainings and workshops regularly* Assists architects and designers throughout the craft of architecture by developing standards, systems, strategies and plans* Reacts to field-specific support requests* Coordinates with Leadership and other Technology Department members on developing tool usage, standards and training consistency*BIM/CAD Management** Responsible for standards aggregation, development, implementation, and enforcement* Manages the lifecycle of bespoke BIM/CAD standards across client teams, studios, and the company at large* Surveys staff on application usage to prioritize platform investments* Works with the QA/QC team to ensure BIM/CAD features are fully leveraged* Maintains the BIM360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud platform, including project lifecycle, automation and name-structure adherence* Research, tests and adopts new BIM/CAD application features as they become available* Performs regular patch management of pertinent applications* Supports staff during onboarding where necessary*Technology Department Expectations** Collaborate with other Technology Administrators to provide consistency in support, training and other engagement* Participates in regular Technology Department training and exercises* Attends and contributes to all departmental meetings* Provides budgetary updates on the state of design technology investments* Delivers insights into the current opportunities and challenges involving the DT support teams* Champions company platform experts*Additional Information:** *Directly Reports To: *Technology Department Leadership* *Supported By: *Technology Department Leadership, Information Technology, Platform Experts, and HR/Accounting/Office Management Corollaries* *Location:* Hybrid in Des Plaines, IL (two days onsite/week plus one additional Thursday/month)*Base Position Qualifications** 4-year degree or equivalent experience in a technology or architecture-related field* Professional Experience in an Architecture, Engineering or Construction field*Preferred Experience** Expert-level understanding of Revit and AutoCAD applications* Experience working with cloud-based platforms such as BIM360 and Unifi* Experience producing, applying, and training up standards and templates*Job Benefits** They have 4 great options for health insurance and cover 77% of individual's and about 70% of dependents' premiums.* They have an amazing 25% match on their 401k program.* They also offer the following programs:* 100% Reimbursement for ARE and NCIDQARE study groups with study materials provided* Learn CEU program* Free parking* Philanthropic and cultural opportunities throughout the year#ESJ1Job Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Relocation assistance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shiftAbility to Commute:* Des Plaines, IL 60018 (Required)Work Location: In personRemote working/work at home options are available for this role.
