From trend forecasting to tech innovation, our teams work together to bring the Tillys experience to life "” both in-store and online.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated Graphic Designer and Production Assistant to join our growing creative team! In this role, you will work closely with the Graphic Design Team, POD production team and Vendor Direct Team to produce high quality and trend right graphics for our apparel business. You will be responsible for creating graphics on a weekly basis based on sales, seasonality, holidays, pop culture moments and newly acquired brands and licenses. You will be responsible for seeing them through from concept to print production. Projects include t-shirt & fleece graphics, submitting for licensing approval and prepping for production. You will be responsible for ensuring that all graphic designs are consistent with our brand strategy and meet our specific performance, pricing, and aesthetic goals. We are looking for someone who's eager to learn, keeps up with trends, and is ready to grow as a designer while contributing to a fast-paced and exciting creative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesA typical day may include:Conceptualize and create apparel graphics from conception through final print-ready art files including but not limited to sizing, placement on body and printer settingsLearn and apply basics of POD print production including preparing print-ready artwork files and production settingsHave a strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop file building and manipulationStrong knowledge of the marketplace, trends, competitor product and the needs of the Tillys customerMaintain a strong sense of the Tillys customer design aesthetic through all design workPerform research inspiration and keep abreast of relevant trends, sales information and the competitive landscapeCollaborate with the design department to develop and execute weekly deliverablesInterpret trend boards and design direction in order to develop graphicsPartner with designers to ensure a cohesive collectionsCoordinate basic design submissions for approvals with licensors and brand partnersAssess and troubleshoot samplesQualificationsYour experience brings:Basic understanding of design principles, illustration and typographyPassion for fashion, graphics, trends and pop culture trendsProficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator AND MICROSOFT EXCEL. Must be proficient in all three programsProficient with Microsoft Outlook and managing emailsClear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills requiredHighly detailed with the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining clear communicationApparel, print production, or retail experience preferred Experience with print on demand, production and/or tech packs is a plus, but not requiredEducation & ExperienceDegree in Graphics Arts or related field1-2 years creating graphic teesHigh School Diploma requiredWork Environment & Physical DemandsProfessional office setting with low to moderate noiseAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsRegularly lift/move up to 20 lbs and navigate stairsFrequent walking and movement between floors/departmentsReasonable accommodation is available to support individuals with disabilitiesLeadership & Team DevelopmentWhile this is not a leadership role, we value team players who embody proactive collaboration, curiosity, accountability, and a growth mindset.
