Materials Manager

*Job Overview*You can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.The Materials Manager will be responsible for the daily requirements of Purchasing, Receiving, Shipping, and maintenance of Raw and Finished Good inventories. They will coordinate with the VP of Operations to ensure a smooth and timely product flow to the customer.This is a full-time, on-site position. Working hours are Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Evaluate and maintain a stable vendor group.* Create and submit purchase orders· Maintain communication with vendors to ensure on-time delivery for Production.* Schedule company truck driver and/or shipping services for pick-ups and deliveries* Communicate with representatives in other departments of the company regarding supply orders, keeping those employees up to date on the status of orders that have already been placed, and assisting with any necessary returns.* Maintain accurate Raw and Finished Goods inventories.* Ensure customer product is properly packaged and timely shipped.* Manage support personnel in the above activities.* Maintain and report company metrics to VP of Operations and President.SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:* Professional attitude and appearance.* Reliable to be in the office every day.* Solid written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to be proactive when issues arise.* Excellent organizational skills.* Multitasking with the ability to prioritize tasks.* Capable of working independently.QUALIFICATIONS:* High School graduate or equivalent.
