Be a member of our team and help us level the playing field.New Terrain Grading is seeking a Superintendent. This role is responsible for keeping production levels up on their projects while maintaining project schedule and deadlines as stipulated by the executed contract. This person will work closely with the assigned project team to establish the direction of each project, manage and coordinate the crew's performance, and ensure a safe and quality project is delivered on time and within budget.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesReviews project plans and details for any potential safety risks and constructability issuesConsults with Safety Consultant for issues outside expertiseOversight of all active jobs (safety, efficiency, scheduling, logistics and quality)Oversees all facets of the Assistant Superintendents and crews assigned including quality of workAssist with estimating and preconstruction as neededAssists Project Manager with updating of scheduleCoordinates Release of Delivery of materials associated with work and other subs as needed when on siteRecord daily logs and job site analysis into ProcoreGive clear directions to Assistant Superintendent/Crew assigned as to what needs to be done to avoid rework and assigns crew members to daily tasks and equipmentAct as a leader and supervisorRepresent the company along with PM in meetings with owners, clients and sub-contractorsDirect sub-contractors and maintain material inventoryEnsure compliance with company policy and procedurePerform safety and quality control audits, per company policyResponsible for all safety enforcement on project per policyApprove time off requests for Assistant Superintendent and Crew MembersEvery Friday by close of business (preferably daily) log into exact time to verify all time charged is accurate in duration and cost code to all jobs assignedProvide Project Manager with Status Report, weeklyResponsible for the safe operation of equipment and operations on the job siteImplements the project plan as necessaryEnsures equipment hours are recorded on daily reports and accessible for Project ManagerEnsures equipment inspections sheets are filled out daily in ProcoreEnsures machines are properly greased dailyReports maintenance or operation issues with equipment-to-Equipment DivisionFixes minor issues with equipment, where capable, to ensure production goals are metMaintain receipts for all job-related purchase and turn receipts in to Project ManagerPerform job site hazard analysis every morning with crew before work begins on projectResponsible for maintaining and submitting working hours for themselves and crew membersHandles employee disputes on the jobsite and makes recommendations to General Super for disciplinary actionServes as the customers point of contact on the job siteInteract with customer, on the job, and resolve any customer issues with J.
