Our experienced team and state-of-the-art equipment ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability in every shipment we handle.To be considered for an interview, please make sure your application is full in line with the job specs as found below.*About the Role:*The Equipment Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting daily fleet operations by maintaining and preparing company vehicles, conducting driver road tests, and ensuring only qualified drivers operate Vista's equipment. This position requires a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and strong attention to safety and compliance standards.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** Maintain, inspect, and prepare vehicles to ensure they are in proper condition and ready for drivers.* Ensure all tractors are inspected, record damages, and enforce accountability.* Plan and schedule routine inspections, service, and timely repairs to optimize uptime.* Perform vehicle checks and routine inspections in line with company safety standards.* Hold a valid CDL and operate company vehicles as needed.* Conduct road tests with new and existing drivers to evaluate their driving skills and performance.* Assess driver competence and approve drivers who successfully pass the road test.* Coordinate closely with the Fleet Executive and Safety Team to maintain compliance with all applicable transportation regulations.* Complete and maintain accurate records of inspections, road tests, and driver approvals.*Qualifications:*Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.Experience: Prior experience in fleet operations, driver training, or vehicle maintenance is preferred.Skills:* Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle operations and safety standards.* Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with drivers and fleet teams.* Ability to perform thorough vehicle inspections and maintain detailed records.* Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.*Physical Demands and Work Environment** Ability to perform vehicle inspections outdoors in varying weather conditions.* Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and operate commercial vehicles as needed.* May be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Health insurance* Paid time offExperience:* Commercial driving: 1 year (Required)* Fleet management: 1 year (Preferred)Language:* English (Required)Ability to Commute:* Lake in the Hills, IL 60156 (Required)Work Location: In person
