The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of trailers, ensuring they are safe and in good working order. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trailer repair and maintenance and a keen eye for detail.Duties* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trailers, including brake systems, suspension, and wheels* Conduct thorough inspections to identify any issues or potential problems* Diagnose and fix problems with trailer electrical systems, including lights and signals* Assemble and disassemble trailer components, including frames and axles* Operate and heavy equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks* Perform automotive repairs and maintenance on the trailers* Ensure all equipment is properly aligned and secured for transport* Maintain a clean and organized workshop, adhering to safety regulations and best practicesQualifications-Applicant Must have strong stick welding skills- Proven experience as a Trailer Mechanic or in a related field- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks- Experience with brake repair- Experience with automotive repair and maintenance- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Physical stamina and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentJob Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time offExperience:* welding: 2 years (Required)* trailer repair: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:* Oklahoma state drivers license (Required)Ability to Commute:* Shawnee, OK 74804 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Shawnee, OK 74804: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
