We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Buyer to join our supply chain team team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and is excited to take ownership of procurement operations. You'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate purchasing agreements, and drive improvements across inventory and logistics processes. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.* Procurement & Sourcing* Manage end-to-end procurement activities for assigned categories.* Issue and maintain blanket purchase orders to ensure consistent supply and pricing.* Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.* Materials, Assets, Shop and Office Supplies, and Misc. Services.o Standardize, document, and maintain SOPs on Inventory and Purchasing practices.· Contract & Agreement Negotiationso Effectively communicate with existing and new B or C vendors to find the best deals and negotiate pricing and payment terms while establishing high expectations of competitiveness and service.o Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and service-level agreements.o Draft and manage supplier contracts in collaboration with legal and finance teams.o Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.o Maintain and develop professional relationships with vendors that align with our core values.· Inventory & Logistics Managemento Work with and support Value Stream Managers/Leaders, Controller, Shipping and Receiving personnel to ensure accurate inventory at all timeso Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the supply chain team to optimize stock.o Adjust purchasing plans to align with production and sales needs.o Collaborate with logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.· Returns & Quality Controlo Manage return requests and coordinate with suppliers for replacements or credits.o Investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions.o Track and report on return trends and supplier performance.o Process Improvement & Documentationo Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and accuracy.o Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and procurement documentation.o Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all purchasing activities in ERP systems.· Reporting & Analysiso Generate reports on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and supplier metrics.o Analyze purchasing trends and recommend cost-reduction strategies.o Maintain accurate records of contracts, orders, and supplier communications.COMPETENCIES_Knowledge of:_- Inventory Management and Manufacturing Processes.- Common reorder practices for supplies and services- Microsoft Excel, Basic math, ERP, and MRP systems.- Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files, and records, etc_Skills:_- Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management skills- Excellent interpersonal skills- Communicating effectively verbally and in writing- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.- Strong work ethic with the ability to learn quickly and understand systems, company products, policies and procedures within a fast-paced environment and company culture._Ability to:_- To lookout for the companies best interest while being frugal.- Be a good listener and not too quick to decide on a course of action yet ability to take timely action when necessary. Does not cut corners ethically always speaking plainly and truthfully.- Demonstrates a can-do attitude.- Strive for customer satisfaction with both internal and external customers.- Deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels and treats everyone with respect.*QUALIFICATIONS*· A Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.· 5+ years of experience in procurement, logisticsm or supply chain management.· Strong knowledge of blanket orders, inventory systems, logistics coordination, and return processes.· Experience in logistics-heavy industries such as manufacturing, distribution, or retail.· Familiarity with lean procurement and continuous improvement methodologies.· Preferred experience with SAP Business One Software and Microsoft office.· Preferred certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPIM, PMP).*PHYSICAL DEMANDS*Much of the work consists of conveying information verbally and in writing and working on a computer while sitting or standing for extended periods. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to sit, stand, and walk; use a finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands; talk and hear; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. The employee occasionally may need to transport himself or herself to another office location in mild to inclement weather.
