MC Electrical Services is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Journeyman Electrician for our customer sites in the Valdosta, Ga area. This position is a local job and includes travel to other sites. We have sites in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, and Texas. If you are qualified and interested, please forward a copy of your resume for us to review.Job Description:This role is responsible for taking care of our factory customers. This involves troubleshooting and servicing industrial automation equipment. This also involves installing new equipment, modifying existing equipment. Responsible for maintaining machine automation systems for packaging, production, conveying, instrumentation, quality control, etc. Debug control systems and software to be safe, effective, functional, and meets the requirements of the end user. Provide leadership, training and guidance to less experienced technicians. Adhere to and promote all safety policies and procedures of company and clients. Consult with client and end users to gather information about new project scope of work, intent of project, control features and functions, business data requirements, hardware and operating system environment, and operator interface design. Additional duties as assigned.Job Requirements:Plan / Install new or modified electrical installations in Consumer Products Manufacturing, Food Production, Chemical Manufacturing, Bottling, Commercial sites including installation of Motor Control Centers, pump motors, conveyors, controls, instrumentation, main distribution electrical systems, PLC, DCS, SCADA, HMI systemsHave at least 3 years of electrical / control systems experience and 5 years of experience working in factory sites.Strong knowledge in networking and industrial protocols.Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and be able to travel between office and customer sites, some out of the immediate area.Ability to support others with technical issuesWorking knowledge of the National Electrical Code, UL, NEMA, AC and DC electrical theoryAbility to setup and troubleshoot industrial instrumentation, switches and sensorsExperience setting up VFD's Soft Starters, servos and motor control systemsKnowledge of how to read technical schematics, P&ID'sPerform various electrical testing such as meggering, hi-pot, current, and voltage measurements of electrical circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components.Perform "Lock Out - Tag Out" procedures enabling the ability to safely repair faulty electrical equipment or systems.Must be authorized to work in United StatesIdeal Candidate will be:Seeking a long-term positionBe detail orientedHave a positive attitude,Be a self-motivated individual - able to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to handle multiple projects and daily activitiesDevelop and maintain good working relationships with employees and clientsMaintain a professional and respectable appearance and attitudeMaintain a regular and on time attendance (40+ hours per week).
