Service Technician ( Diesel Machinic)

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled.Are you the right applicant for this opportunity Find out by reading through the role overview below.The role of the Technician is to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision.*Responsibilities:** Perform and/or assist in the performance of general mechanical duties.* Repairs all equipment components and systems assigned to them with minimal assistance.* Work on engine overhaul, fuel systems electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.* Work on major components with close supervision.* Perform trouble shooting on minor problems.* Uses manufactures technical troubleshooting resources (Tech lines) independently along with diagnostic tools (laptop, meters, pressure gauges).* Attend training sessions and meetings.* Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.* Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.* Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.*Qualifications:** Minimum three years of hands-on diesel experience or graduate of vocational diesel courses.* Necessary tools to perform the position.* Strong customer service and communication skills.* Computer experience.* CDL preferred.*Experience:** Diesel engine repair: 1 year* Mechanical knowledge: 1 year*Compensation:** Competitive base pay plus performance-based monthly commission (commission potential up to $5.00 per hour on top of base pay)Job Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceApplication Question(s):* Do you currently possess all the tools and equipment required to perform the responsibilities associated with this position?* Have you ever performed maintenance or repairs on Kubota engines or equipment in a previous roleAbility to Commute:* Fort Pierce, FL 34947 (Required)Work Location: In person
