*Job Overview*All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in working on various heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues accurately and perform repairs efficiently. A commitment to safety and quality workmanship is essential.*Responsibilities** Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.* Conduct routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including tractor-trailers, y, and industrial equipment.* Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, air brakes, transmissions, suspension systems, and HVAC components.* Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks.* Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and repair procedures.* Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and cranes safely during repair processes.* Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repair options.* Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.*Qualifications** Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive or heavy equipment repair.* Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts, and tire service.* Familiarity with dealership operations is preferred but not required.* Experience with fabrication techniques is a plus.* Ability to lift heavy objects as needed for repairs (heavy lifting required).* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques.* Knowledge of electrical systems related to diesel engines is advantageous.* Excellent problem-solving skills along with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.* Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and teamwork within the shop environment.
