Provides clear directions to the group.Primary Duties:Provide clear, concise statements using action verbs to describe what is done, with or for whom the action is taken and the purpose or outcome to be achieved. Responsibilities should be listed in order of percentage of time spent performing the actual duty.Monitors workflow and adjusts to changes by directing and guiding others in group in all areas involved in the movement of product from various locations and the utilization of various types of equipment to complete the tasks.Keeps their supervisor up-to-date with the progress of their department and any challenges that may arise.Responsible for daily workloads being completed.Continues to perform as an individual contributor completing advanced and complicated tasks requiring considerable judgment, independent analysis and decision making, and detailed knowledge of the position and procedures.May assist in training or retraining of new or current employees.Conducts oneself in a manner that portrays safety, productivity, and professionalism.Performs other duties as assigned or requested by management.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Indicate the minimum qualifications required to perform the job: work experience (including type of work and number of years required); education (including desired degree and field of study); specify certificate or license requirements.High school diploma or equivalent preferredRequires 5 years of directly related experience or equivalent work experienceMust have a thorough working knowledge of all processes and policies relating to all duties performed in stocking and forklift operationVerbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environment with the capability to adjust to change and interruptionsAbility to work with limited supervisionMust be able to become certified through the Sally Beauty Lift Truck Training Program in order to efficiently and safely operate a forklift within the time frame specified by managementCompetencies / Attributes: Indicate relative “qualitative” or other important aspects that would enhance the ability to perform the job. i.e. detail oriented, customer focused, team player, etc.Must be able to maintain neat and accurate recordsMust be skilled in basic arithmetic and have ability to read and interpret orders, product description, and/or numbers in the English languageFollows all procedures and policiesDetail-orientedAbility to work with a diverse range of personalitiesAbility to work in a fast paced environment with the capability to adjust to change and interruptionsAbility to work with limited supervisionOperates all lift equipment in a safe manner to ensure personal protection and to ensure the protection of other personnel and company propertyNature and Extent of Direct or Indirect Controls Exercised by the Supervisor:Task Level HighDepartmental/Division Level HighProject Level HighConsultative Level HighThe amount of discretion or freedom this position has:Strict Adherence to GuidelinesInterprets and Adapts GuidelinesDevelops and Implements GuidelinesWorking Conditions /Physical Requirements: Indicate the normal working environment i.e. office, store, warehouse, etc. as well as any physical requirements required to perform the job duties (lifting requirement, dexterity, etc).Repetitively lift cartons weighing 10 to 55 poundsStand/Walk for 6 to 10 hours a dayMust be able to climb up and down stairs and laddersSee and read labels on products, product containers and packagesMust be able to work in temperatures ranging from 25 degrees Fahrenheit to 105 degrees FahrenheitMay be exposed to fumes and odors upon occasionVisual ability must have accurate depth perceptionMust have adequate hearing to hear warnings from powered vehicles, emergency alarms, and verbal announcements20.00
