Transmission Engineer – Transmission & Distribution (Atlanta or Charlotte)Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.A leading engineering and construction firm is seeking a Transmission Engineer to support its growing Transmission & Distribution practice in the Southeast.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform, lead, and oversee all engineering responsibilities related to overhead transmission line design (69kV–500kV).Utilize tools such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Tower for line routing, modeling, structure analysis, sag-tension, and clearance reports.Prepare specifications for construction, hardware, and materials, including structure and hardware design and field installation supervision.Develop construction drawings and cost estimates for high-voltage overhead transmission lines.Provide instruction and guidance to junior staff, with the potential to grow into a leadership role.Act as a key technical lead on projects and perform quality reviews.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program (required).EIT or Professional Engineer license strongly preferred.Minimum 3 years of experience in the design and routing of high-voltage overhead transmission line facilities (Master’s degree may substitute for 1 year).Strong skills in PLS software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.Experience in 69kV–500kV transmission line design preferred.
