We’re looking for someone with strong technical ability, attention to detail, and solid hands-on skills. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a variety of machines and tools while strictly adhering to safety protocols. In this role, you’ll use diagnostic equipment and your mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment in the landfill.Compensation:$25 - $30 hourlyResponsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Immediately report any discrepancies to the Fleet ManagerEnsures compliance with all equipment complianceUnder general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses, and repairs vehicles and equipmentUtilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairsPerforms service calls for emergency breakdownsConducts safety checks on equipmentCompletes required paperwork utilizing the fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair timesReviews, completes, or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection ReportsMaintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety proceduresCommunication Skills: Effective communication to explain issues to customers and collaborate with team membersProblem-Solving: The ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions. Other duties as assignedQualifications:Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record.
