Auto Mechanic

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the capability to work independently as well as part of a team.*Duties** Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance.* Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.* Utilize welding skills for fabrication and repair tasks as needed.* Troubleshoot electrical systems, including logic controllers, to identify malfunctions.* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).* Fabricate parts or components as required for repairs or upgrades.* Provide mechanical knowledge support for various projects and tasks.* Assist in supervising junior technicians or apprentices during their training and development.* Engage in residential painting tasks when necessary to maintain aesthetic standards of facilities.*Qualifications** Proven experience in service technician roles or related fields with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.* Strong understanding of schematics, electrical components, and logic controllers.* Proficiency in welding techniques and fabrication processes is highly desirable.* Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities is preferred.* Mechanical knowledge that enables effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment.* Experience in supervising or mentoring others is a plus.* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.* A commitment to safety practices and procedures while performing all tasks.Join our team as a Service Technician where your skills will be valued, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional service!Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.55 - $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekSchedule:* 8 hour shiftAbility to Commute:* Brattleboro, VT 05301 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Brattleboro, VT 05301: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
