Electrical Test Technician-Third Shift

This is a technician position supporting in-development test processes for optical module prototypes. It involves working cl*Assembly / System Test Technician Weekends 20% shift diff*While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.Hourly position responsible for Assembly and System test of Line Cards and Products for client located in Allentown, PA*Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities** Assemble multiple Infinera products together to create a system-level Staging Test to ensure product quality at customer sites* Create product troubleshooting guides.* Support failure analysis and root cause identification and corrective action implementation of components, sub-systems, and field failures.*Education / Experience** Minimum 2-year degree or 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentwork closely with the development team to operate test processes, both as part of the early stages of manufacturing and for R&D purposes. *This is a Third Shift Position**Responsibilities:** Perform electrical and optical tests on prototype hardware using automated test fixtures.* Carefully observe protocols on safe hardware handling to avoid damaging material, with a particular emphasis on ESD mitigation.* Follow detailed procedure documents and process flows that are in-development and will require regular retraining as processes mature.* Learn usage of basic software tools to track line flow and individual part status.* Perform basic triage of failures with guidance from engineering.* Support requests to move and reconfigure hardware for R&D use.* Keep prototype hardware organized and easy to inventory.* Assist with maintenance of test equipment as needed and provide prompt feedback if suspected issues are observed.*Education and Skill Requirements** AS in Electronics/Electronic Technology or equivalent experience required* ESD safety* Fiber handling* Process execution*Additional Desired Skills** Good written and verbal communication skills* Ability to work in a flexible team environment is essential* Microsoft Office experience* Organized and strong attention to detailsJob Type: Temp-to-hirePay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Evening shift* Monday to Friday* Night shiftPeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyAbility to Commute:* Allentown, PA 18102 (Required)Work Location: In person
