A position is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support a K-12 student in a school setting located in Bonaire, GA. This is a contract role for the current school year (CSY) requiring coordination with various service providers to facilitate effective communication for the student.The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.Responsibilities include:Providing ASL interpretation during speech therapy sessions held in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.Supporting virtual orientation and mobility instruction on Fridays, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.Interpreting for in-person physical therapy sessions, tentatively scheduled on Wednesdays between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. (subject to confirmation).Desired qualifications and experience:Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting, specifically within educational and therapy environments.Experience working collaboratively with speech therapists, teachers of students with visual impairments, and physical therapists.Ability to manage a dynamic schedule and adapt to both in-person and virtual settings.Strong communication skills and a commitment to supporting students access to educational services.Location: Bonaire, Georgia, with requirements to be onsite for in-person days and participate virtually as needed.This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a students educational experience by facilitating communication across multiple disciplines.
