A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is sought for a full-year contract position within a K-8 educational program located in Bronx, NY. This role offers the opportunity to support students from kindergarten through eighth grade, with a focus on working directly with elementary students on the autism spectrum and those who present with significant behavioral challenges.Apply below after reading through all the details and supporting information regarding this job opportunity.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies tailored to individual student needs.Collaborate with educators and support staff to design and monitor behavior intervention plans.Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and create Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) with district collaboration.Assist with data collection processes and help analyze behavioral data to inform instructional practices and interventions.Provide training and support to staff on behavioral strategies and data collection tools.Preferred Qualifications:Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential.Experience working with elementary-aged students on the autism spectrum.Demonstrated expertise in managing significant behavioral needs within a school environment.Familiarity with district systems for accessing and completing FBAs and BIPs.Strong organizational skills to support data collection and reporting.Location:Position is based in Bronx, NY within a K-8 school setting.Schedule and Duration:Anticipated to be a contract position lasting the full school year.Hours are estimated at approximately 0.5 to 0.6 full-time equivalent.This role offers a unique chance to impact student success by applying evidence-based behavioral interventions and supporting data-driven decision-making.
