Position Summary This role combines traditional deaf education expertise with modern virtual instruction techniques. You'll work with diverse learners, creating individualized programming that supports language development, cultural identity, and academic success while maintaining meaningful connections in the digital learning environment. Essential Functions Develop specialized curriculum for deaf and hard of hearing students Provide direct ASL and English instruction through virtual platforms Support auditory skill development and hearing technology management Implement visual learning strategies and accessible instructional methods Collaborate with interpreters, audiologists, and related service providers Facilitate deaf culture education and community connections Maintain detailed IEP documentation and progress monitoring Coordinate transition services and career preparation activities Student Support Services Work with students representing various degrees of hearing loss and communication preferences across all academic levels. Services include language development, literacy instruction, social-emotional support, and independence building designed to prepare students for post-secondary success and community participation.
