Purpose of the roleIn this role, you will oversee branch sales, including deposit growth and retention, as well as the efficient operation of the branch to ensure all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to customers and staff. Your duties of the assistant branch manager are contingent on the scope of the services that are offered at the facility.Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Complete deposits, withdrawals, and other financial interactions• Provide excellent customer service• Balance teller station• Confirm accuracy of transactions• Prepare, verify and issue cashier checks personal money orders, and facilitate wire transfers• Open new accounts• Renegotiate certificates of deposit• Responsible for maintaining audit and compliance standards and reports• Provide input for employee reviews• Assist with new hire trainingEducation and Experience• High School Diploma, required; Associates degree and equivalent industry experience in related field, preferred.• Minimum 2 years of experience in the branch, preferred• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, preferred• Understanding of banking regulatory matters and procedures for proper operation, preferred Job competencies• Organized and dependable• Analytical and attention to detail• Ability to problem solve and multi-task• Verbal and Written Communication• Self-Motivated• Team PlayerPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required for this position.
