We are seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) for a long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Position Details: Title: Interim Director of Pharmacy Location: San Francisco, CA area Type: Full-Time, Interim/Contract Start Date: ASAP Schedule: Monday Friday, daytime hours Travel: Full travel assistance available for non-local candidates Key Responsibilities: Provide oversight of all pharmacy operations, including staffing, compliance, inventory, and clinical initiatives Ensure adherence to hospital policies, state/federal regulations, and accreditation standards Collaborate with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care Supervise and support pharmacists and technicians in a high-acuity inpatient environment Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and regulatory compliance across all pharmacy activities Requirements: Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist License Significant inpatient pharmacy management experience (Director-level or similar) Proven leadership skills in hospital pharmacy settings Ability to start promptly and commit to full-time interim coverage This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced pharmacy professional looking to make a difference in a dynamic hospital setting.
