Job Description

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Clinical Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) is needed to provide comprehensive speech and language services in a K-12 school setting located in Saint Johnsbury, VT. This contract position spans the full academic school year, offering an opportunity to work closely with pediatric populations in an educational environment.Apply promptly! A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.Key Responsibilities:Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with communication disordersImplement therapy sessions tailored to the developmental needs of children across K-12 grade levelsCollaborate with educators, families, and support staff to support student progressMaintain accurate documentation and provide regular reports regarding student outcomesSupervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) as part of therapy deliveryParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing professional developmentQualifications and Experience:Possess a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC)Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare and educational settingsSuccessful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP - CFY)Familiarity with healthcare protocols as they relate to speech-language servicesAbility to collaborate effectively with school personnel and familiesPrior experience supervising SLPAs is highly desirableLocation:Position based in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont, within a K-12 school environmentThis contract role offers the chance to impact student communication development over a full school year while working in a supportive educational community.
