Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 educational setting located in West Hartford, CT, for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract role requires providing services to a diverse student population, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and multiple disabilities.Read the overview of this opportunity to understand what skills, including and relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required.Responsibilities include delivering individualized therapy and teletherapy sessions to a caseload of 35 high school students. The caseload predominantly consists of 19 students with ASD and various multiple disabilities. Collaboration with paraeducators for student support will be integral to effectively meeting student needs. The position involves working 37.5 hours per week throughout the school year.Desired qualifications and experience:Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language PathologyExperience providing teletherapy services in a school environmentProven ability to manage a high school caseload with students presenting ASD and multiple disabilitiesStrong skills in individualized education program (IEP) development and implementationAbility to collaborate effectively with support staff and educational teamsThis role offers the opportunity to impact student communication development in a supportive environment with dedicated staff assistance.
