Cost Planning Manager

We are seeking experienced estimators to manage cost planning for our projects. These roles will play a critical part in the project's financial strategy.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and associated documentation to define work scope and requirements.Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.Identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and alternative solutions.Develop and maintain an updated database of pricing, materials, and labor costs.Collaborate with project managers and engineers to refine estimates and budgets.Prepare bid proposals and participate in pre-bid meetings.Ensure cost estimates align with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.Analyze historical project costs to improve the accuracy of future estimates.Requirements:Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost structures.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, Bluebeam) is preferred.Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and negotiation skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent experience).
