Position: Standardized Patient EducatorBelow covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Location: 1001 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PAWork Type: RegularShift: RotatingOrganization: Thomas Jefferson University / Jefferson HealthJob Overview:Train and support standardized patients (SPs) for medical and health professional education programs. Responsible for ensuring SPs accurately portray clinical cases for teaching, assessment, and curriculum evaluation. Work closely with faculty, staff, and SPs to maintain high-quality education standards.Key Responsibilities:Train standardized patients on case portrayal and checklist accuracyMaintain and update case materials and SP training materialsSupport case development and assist with modifications as neededMaintain confidentiality and integrity of all case dataEnsure clinical exam rooms are prepared and equipment is operationalEnter and update information in the EMS (Education Management System) databasePerform quality assurance checks to ensure reliability and validity in SP assessmentsInteract professionally with faculty, students, SPs, and staffOther duties as assignedEssential Skills & Traits:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with organizational skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityComfortable using database systems (e.g., EMS)Able to collaborate effectively in a team environmentAbout Jefferson:Jefferson is a nationally ranked health system and university serving the Philadelphia region, Lehigh Valley, and Southern New Jersey.
