Litigation Attorney

The Jimmerson Law Firm, P.C., is currently looking for a Litigation Attorney. The Litigation Attorney will be working cases involving family law, business litigation, medical malpractice and the like. Candidates must have litigation experience and knowledge of Federal/Local Court rules, and family law is preferable. Excellent written/analytical/oral advocacy skills are required. Candidates will learn immensely in the job, and working alongside a dynamic, hard-working law firm, assisting its clients in an ethical and zealous manner, and will obtain valuable experience and team goals.The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.Duties and responsibilities include:-Manage cases from inception to completion.-Prepare analysis of case and advise client regarding strategies.-Draft court pleadings, motions and orders.-Handle discovery, including depositions, filing/propounding/responding to written requests, and defense of motions.-Attend court hearings and Trial-Other duties and special projects as needed.Experience and Skills:-Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school-Previous experience in litigation, family law and business litigation-Must have excellent research skills including use of legal and non-legal sources-Admission to practice law in the state of Nevada; multi jurisdiction admission preferred-Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and possess good interpersonal skills for communicating with attorneys and clients.-Must be proficient in software tools including but not limited to Word, Wordperfect, Excel, Outlook-Ability to manage and prioritize large caseload.General Competency Factors:-Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner-Proactive in moving cases forward-Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance-Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace-Excellent problem solving and organizational skills-Overall good work ethic and willingness to adapt to changeWe Offer a Comprehensive Benefit Program including:-Medical, Dental and Vision Plans-Paid vacation and sick leave-Opportunities for raises and annual bonusJob Type: Full-timePay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
