This is a rare opportunity to step into a *founding leadership role* with long-term *ownership potential*, helping to shape the architectural vision of a company that’s already thriving in the construction space.*Position Summary:*You’ll be the cornerstone of this new architecture department — initially working independently while managing outsourced architectural partners, and ultimately building a full in-house team around you. If you’re a hands-on architect with leadership instincts, strategic thinking, and a desire for real ownership, this is your chance to leave your mark.*Key Responsibilities:** Lead all architectural design efforts for commercial projects from concept through construction.* Oversee outsourced architecture partners — review plans, ensure quality and code compliance, and manage timelines.* Collaborate closely with construction and preconstruction teams to ensure design aligns with budgets and buildability.* Conduct site analysis, code reviews, and research zoning and permitting requirements.* Produce construction documents and design packages as needed.* Manage design consistency and documentation standards across all projects.* Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction teams during execution.* Participate in client meetings and coordinate with consultants and permitting agencies.* Play a lead role in hiring and mentoring future design staff.* Contribute to proposal efforts and strategic planning as part of the leadership team.* Maintain compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and best practices.*Qualifications:** Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).* Licensed Architect (preferred, or actively working toward licensure).* 6–8+ years of experience in commercial architecture.* Strong understanding of the Design-Build process is preferred.* Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Bluebeam are a plus.* Excellent knowledge of codes, technical detailing, and permitting.* Confident managing outsourced teams and reviewing third-party design work.* Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.* Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire for long-term growth and equity.* Experience with Architecture of Church Buildings preferred.*Why This Role?** Competitive salary and ownership path from the start.* Build and lead a design department from the ground up.* High degree of autonomy with support from an experienced leadership team.* Significant pipeline of design-build commercial projects across the U.S.* Opportunity to shape the direction of a new architectural brand.*This Job Is:** Ideal for a seasoned architect ready to move into a leadership and ownership track.* A great fit for someone entrepreneurial who wants to create and lead something new.* Open to strong professionals regardless of formal degree, with sufficient experience and licensing.Job Type: Full-timePay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
