Endeavor Agency () is a commercial real estate talent agency providing high touch recruitment services throughout California and major western US cities. Endeavor has engaged with a dynamic, privately held real estate development and operating company seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to join their Los Angeles, CA based team. The Senior Manager will report directly to the Senior VP of Construction and directly manage a team of superintendents related to the new ground-up development. Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.The Senior Construction Manager is also responsible for certain aspects of the Pre-Development phase and these responsibilities may include, initial site reviews, entitlement processing monitoring and input as to cost implication, design management relating to buildability and value engineering, as examples.Responsibilities:Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.Direct and supervise workers.Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.Select, contract, and oversee workers who complete specific pieces of the project, such as painting or plumbing.Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.Develop and implement quality control programs.Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.Qualifications:Relevant multifamily real estate construction and development experience. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, regulations, methods and quality standardsCompetent in conflict and crisis managementExcellent leadership skillsExcellent time and project management skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal, organizational and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMake accurate evaluations leading to decisions without immediate supervisionAccept and carry out responsibility for direction, control, and planningProficient with software tools, such as but not limited to, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Procore, Blue Beam and other similar softwareBachelor’s degree with an emphasis in construction, real estate development or related.Relevant accreditations such as LEED, WELL, etc. (Nice to have)
