Are you ready to start a new career with a LEADER in the industry and WORLD CLASS team!Candidates should take the time to read all the elements of this job advert carefully Please make your application promptly.What we offer:Competitive Salary with OT OpportunitiesAnnual Pay IncreasesPTO Available as of DAY ONEOpportunities to grow with company401(k) plan with company matchEmployee Pension plan (at no cost to employees)Full Medical, Health & Wellness Benefits start on FIRST DAYPosition SummaryUnder the immediate direction of Customer Service Manager, the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily delivery schedule for Ready Mix, Cement and Ash material, meanwhile supporting customer service and business needs within the assigned business unit.Shift: 7am to 5pm, 50hour work week - Salary + OT payJob ResponsibilitiesCoordinates internal resources, i.e. Sales, Orders, Technical Services, Services assigned and unassigned customers with concrete, cement and ash delivery scheduling, job-site issues, resource dispatching and account issues.Ensures the daily shipment and production schedule for current day and next day is accurate and up to date, so others can rely on the schedule for decisions making.Generates the driver call-In times for next day and willing to work evenings and weekends to update schedule.Review all orders for scheduling conflicts, problems, and errors one day prior to deliveryReviews all concrete orders and makes changes to maximize service while minimizing nonproductive time of equipment and personnel.Develops and maintains relationships with assigned customer accounts. Creates and processes job reports for assigned projects, including all mix design submittalsMaintains up-to-date understanding and first-hand knowledge of specific job site constraints, such as vehicle entrance, operational time restrictions, wash-out locations, plant maintenance etc.Evaluates material sourcing and mix design specifications in order to designate primary and secondary delivery plant locations, and coordinates with Technical Services to ensure that each of the assigned project’s mix designs are made available to batch at both plantsResponsible for taking action for decisions on delivery, production, and fleet when customer variables occurAnswers phone calls when needed and follows the CSR job description when taking customer orders along with cross training with dispatchers.Ensures the customer understands all relevant company policies such as for Will-Call orders, load limits, additional productsCoordinates communications with internal departments to meet customer and Company needsInput for decisions concerning delivery commitments, production needs and plant capabilitiesAssists with basic quality and service issues at the job site via phone.Supplies customers with product and delivery informationResponsible for learning all aspects of the Command Alkon/Command Concrete systemOther duties as assignedPreferred Education and ExperienceHigh School or GED equivalent required. B.A./B.S. degree in related field preferred.In lieu of a degree the incumbent must have 1-2 years’ experience in construction or logistics required.Grade 1 ACI Certification preferredKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesWork requires knowledge of assigned products and the understanding of Company plant operations processes and procedures, material suppliers, operations and customer job site requirementsMust have negotiation skillsWork requires good communication skills both verbal and written with preferred bilingual abilitiesWork requires self-starter abilities and the ability to work without directionWork requires creative thinking and problem-solving skillsWork requires the ability to multitask and handle varied high-pressure situationsMust have the ability to work in team environment to meet goalsWorking ConditionsMajority of time will be in an office setting and may require periods of work at a plant, in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.
