Authorizes work on equipment needed from outside services. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance.  Duties and responsibilitiesActively participates in improving facility safetyMinimizes equipment downtime to facilitate maximum manufacturing productivityDocuments Preventative MaintenancePerforms equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures. Provides input to improve PM procedure effectivenessIdentifies and procures spare parts equipment to maintain spare parts inventoryTroubleshoot and repair all types of equipment failures. Implement maintenance plan changes to prevent recurrenceReleases new or modified equipment to manufacturing per validation instructionsCommunicates observations and recommendations to stakeholdersPerforms other duties as required by Maintenance SupervisorMust be willing to work mandatory overtime on any days scheduled per business needsQualificationsEducation and Experience: Three years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Industrial Maintenance AA/AS Diploma, Trade School or Equivalent applicable experienceJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have good communication skills, both written and spokenKnowledge of electrical, mechanical, laser, hydraulic, pneumatic, and optical equipment and safety policiesKnowledge and ability to perform Machine Shop functions – Mill, Lathe, Surface GrinderKnowledgeable of MS Word, ExcelPhysical requirementsMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds Moderate to heavy physical effort requiredRegularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facilityWork environmentWork performed in both a manufacturing and office environmentExposure to metals, lubricants, solvents, electrolytes and other hazardous materialsRequired to wear K-Tube t-shirt Personal Protective EquipmentSafety glasses and safety shoes are requiredOther personal safety equipment required as listed in SDS depending on task; may include safety goggles, ear protection, full-face shield, aprons, arm guards, rubber boots and gloves
