We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a 126-unit HUD Section 8 housing community. This position plays a vital role in supporting the Property Manager and coordinating with on-site staff including the Leasing Specialist, Service Coordinator, and Maintenance Technicians. Responsibilities include leasing support, program compliance, resident relations, and financial and administrative duties.Benefits:Benefits: Medical, Dental, VisionRetirement: 401(k) plan with company matchPaid Time Off: Vacation, HolidaysHousing: 1-bedroom unit providedKey Responsibilities:Assist the Property Manager with daily operations and schedulingServe as a primary point of contact for resident communications and in-person visitsSupport leasing activities, including move-ins, annual recertifications, and waitlist managementProcess rent payments, vendor invoices, and maintain accurate financial recordsRespond to maintenance requests and coordinate with the Maintenance Technician to ensure timely completionPrepare and maintain resident files in accordance with compliance regulationsProvide general administrative support including filing, document preparation, and data entryEnsure all leasing and compliance documentation is accurate and completeUphold strong resident relations by addressing questions, concerns, and service requests professionallyQualifications:Minimum of one year of experience in customer service and/or apartment leasing; accounting or administrative background is a plusExperience with Yardi Voyager is highly preferredStrong attention to detail with a sales and customer service mindsetProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general office equipmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsValid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework preferredMust successfully pass a background and drug screening (convictions do not automatically disqualify candidates)Work Environment: This is an on-site position at an affordable housing community.
