TIG Welder

Job DescriptionDo you have the right skills and experience for this role Read on to find out, and make your application.Duties and Responsibilities· Set up welding machines and equipment· Weld, cut, and grind aluminum of different widths· Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc or otherwelding equipment· Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specificationsor drawings· Follows weld and assembly requirements of drawings for assigned product byusing manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical,horizontal or overhead)· Ignites torch and adjusts valves, amperage, or voltage to obtain desired flame orarc· Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements;following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions, calling forrepairs· Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.· Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, andfixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of partsproducedRequired Skills & Experience· 1+ years of TIG welding experience or equivalent training· TIG Certification AWS D1.2 (or able to achieve within 60 days of employment)· Successful completion of CIT weld test· Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures· Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.)· Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings· Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing(face shield, gloves, PPE, etc.)· Deftness and attention to detailCompensation: $19.00 to $24.00 per hour.
