Title: Environmental Waste CoordinatorStarting Pay: Up to $26/hr depending on experienceLocation: Columbus OH (Easton Commons)Contract or Contract to Hire (Currently setup for 4 months but may go direct hire)Want to make an application Make sure your CV is up to date, then read the following job specs carefully before applying.1st shift role 8:00am-4:30pmMust Haves: o Looking for an person 2+ years of experience preferably with environmental wasteo One or all of these: RCRA, Waste profiling, characterizing, scheduling, manifesting, DOT, labeling, recycling, shippingManager Notes: o 2 buildings with 3 floors - This person will be going to labs and drumming the wasteo Biosafety Level 2 labso 4-month project. We would like to get this person started by end of this month.o Mostly biowaste handling and shipping with a little bit of chemical pickups and small lab packs.Our client is looking for a Environmental Coordinator at a large pharmaceuticals Facility in Columbus, OH.Essential responsibilities and duties:Technical:Hazardous waste inspectionsRegularly preparing chemical and biological waste for shipment and disposal, including creation of all federal/state waste documents and managing the paperwork for the materialFollowing any applicable state and federal regulations [Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) & Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations]Hands-on:Material handling (e.g. transportation of materials within client sites as well as from client sites to transfer and/or end disposal facilities)Safe handling of hazardous waste containers on client sites, as well as loading/unloading of waste from vehiclesPackaging and prepping of hazardous waste for shipmentSpill response measures, including assessment of the spills and potentially leading the cleanup effortsCustomer service:Professional attitude, high energy, and high-level communication skills required when dealing directly with client representativesHigh level of expertise (e.g. state/federal regulations, EHS standards, waste management procedures, etc.)Train clients on proper chemical safety and hazardous waste managementAttending client operations meetingsTraining of new team member(s)#LI-JB1
