This independent, physician-owned GI practice is looking for LPNs for our GI Clinics. GAP evaluates new patients, performs consultations and conducts follow-up visits for chronic gastrointestinal conditions. Our offices draw and assess labs, administer injections and monitor medication therapies. We offer on-site infusion services and our clinical staff assist with a variety of in-office procedures. When appropriate, GAP schedules appointments for outpatient screening, diagnostic and/or treatment procedures. Administers medications and treatments as directed.Captures and records date of last colonoscopy or lack of.Documents care provided or procedures performed accurately on patient records.Assists other health care professionals in performing exams, diagnostic procedures and treatments and minor medical procedures.Adheres to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies.Participates in the development of the plan of care with other team members and safely implements that plan.Follow set protocols/standing orders/algorithms/decision trees established by the physicianDocuments assessments, interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed and test results in medical records.Promotes wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.Licensed Practical Nurse, currently licensed in North Carolina. Previous experience with Epic preferred. Current BLS training required. Minimum of one (1) year experience in medical specialty practice preferred.
