Business Litigation/Labor & Employment Attorney

The candidate will represent clients on sophisticated complex litigation matters that generally arise from the construction industry. Ideal candidates will be strong litigators with experience handling their own caseloads and the ability to develop and implement successful litigation strategies to achieve the client's goals.For more than 40 years the firm has provided extremely competitive pay to top quality lawyers, a strong leadership team that invests in the firm and its employees and billable hour requirements that are lower than competitors ensuring firm members the tools to succeed while maintaining a quality work/life balance.*Responsibilities/Duties** Prepare for and attend trials* Take depositions of witnesses and experts* Attend hearings* Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery and briefs* Analyze facts of the case, develop and implement litigation strategy* Work collaboratively with firm partners and legal staff* Research legal issues as necessary to address claims and implement strategy* Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal processes and options*Qualifications/Requirements** Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the California Bar* 3-8 Years of business litigation experience* Business Litigation and/or Labor and Employment experience is required* Ability to drive their own caseload with limited supervision* Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work directly with clients, firm partners and legal staff in a positive and collaborative manner* Exceptional organizational skills and strong self-motivator with high attention to detail* Excellent time and deadline management skills in a fast-paced environment, able to juggle multiple projects and files, and re-prioritize work quickly and efficiently* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.* Must be able to uphold the highest standards of discretion, confidentiality, and exercise good judgment on day-to-day decisionsJob Type: Full-timePay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceEducation:* Doctorate (Required)Experience:* Employment & labor law: 3 years (Required)Ability to Commute:* Santa Ana, CA 92705 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Santa Ana, CA 92705: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person
