Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Position Summary: This executive-level position will be responsible for all facets of the financial planning process. This position will be a key member of the Finance Team, reporting directly to the CFO. The ideal candidate will understand the episodic television production business and be able to work cross-functionally with other teams, including but not limited to Creative, Business Affairs, Production, and Senior Management.Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.Location: Los Angeles, CA"”70-80% remote, must be available to appear in office with a day's noticeDuties and ResponsibilitiesStudio & Corporate FinanceCorporate financial planning, including quarterly forecasts, yearly budget, and long range planQuarterly management reporting for senior leadership, board of directors, and investorsManage production slate, series ultimates, forecasts, and participation statementsProject capital needs, including credit facility cash needs, borrowing base calculation, and interest projections-Reporting covenantsAd-hoc analysisBusiness OperationsCollaborate closely with physical production team on cost reporting and cash forecastingAdvise business affairs on deal negotiations, including greenlight analysisReview development tracking, reporting, and data integrity (in Sage Intacct, Airtable, and offline)Headcount planning and personnel forecastsAccountingCollaborate with Controller in reporting functionality in general ledger system (Sage Intacct)Review development impairmentSupport series and annual accounting audit as neededStand in as backup for controller in workflow approvals as neededQualifications and Characteristics:Undergraduate degree required; MBA a plusMinimum 7 years of related experience in financial planning and analysisRobust understanding of finance operations; accounting knowledge a plusStrong Excel experience and modeling skills requiredExperience in entertainment industry requiredGoal-oriented self-starter who will identify and execute steps while working within tight timeframesAbility to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and to meet changing requirements and deadlinesExcellent communication skills including the ability to take initiative in communicating issues and statusRespectful and works well in a small team environmentProactive in initiating tasks, must be willing to be hands-on and highly collaborativeSage Intacct experience a plusAirtable experience a plusThe salary range for this position is $150K-175K+ (DOE); Full Benefits and Bonus-EligibleEmail resume and cover letter to jobs@About Uswiip is a global independent studio, distinctive in its talent-first approach by inspiring storytellers to do what they love - create.
