It is why they stay with us for so long, and it's also what attracts new clients to come aboard.We are looking to add an Operations Manager to our Columbus location. The Operations Manager position requires an individual who is both a self-starter and self-motivated; can develop strong relationships with co-workers, lead and participate in the client service team, execute tasks, and meet deadlines. In addition, a successful Operations Manager can efficiently multitask, is very organized, well prepared, and always dependable.Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.The primary responsibility of an Operations Manager is to manage all activities related to the warehouse and show site production for events produced by the branch. In addition, as the Operations Team leader, the Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring all operating processes are followed to result in an efficient and effective production team.You will report directly to the Columbus GM. Position does require being onsite full-time with the ability to travel to shows.Pay is $70-75K.What you'll do: Interface with operations, warehouse, and office personnel to ensure smooth and reliable delivery of all client requests.Regular and consistent interaction with Account Executives and Operations Team to effectively plan for efficient show production.Maintain performance reviews and disciplinary records for the Operations TeamThe Operations Manager is a hub for filtering and distributing information from Account Executives to the Operations Team.Assuring the materials and labor are available to accomplish all production activities in the warehouse and at the event site.Sourcing labor and equipment requirements for warehouse and show site productionBuild relationships with the workforce, facility, and vendor representatives that lead to efficient operations.Develop professional relationships that result in the long-term retention of clients and vendors.Perform prompt, thorough, and effective verbal, written, and face-to-face communicationsMaintain an ongoing understanding of the costs (labor, materials, equipment, etc.) associated with the production of events to assist Account Executives with creating accurately priced and cohesive client proposals.Participate in event production planning activities to sustain your understanding of the company's directives and resources.Maintain proficiencies in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other technology you may be requested to utilize in the course of your duties as Operations Manager.Perform budgeting and scheduling, associated with all event production.Who You Are:Experience in the tradeshow world is great!Minimum of two years in a supervisory roleExperience in managing budget expectationsWorking knowledge of OSHA requirement for a warehouse environmentFern is an equal opportunity employer committed to equal consideration for all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
