Responsibilities:The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.Perform in-process and final weld inspections in accordance with applicable codes and specificationsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and customer specificationsDevelop detailed weld maps using internal layouts and customer-supplied drawingsGenerate comprehensive weld inspection reports including: Itemized weld joints and seams, Material and filler certifications, Welder certifications and activity reportsWPS and PQR documentationInspection dates and third-party test reports and Stud test reportsEnsure compliance with applicable codes, including AWS and ASME standardsMaintain detailed, accurate records in support of internal audits and customer requirementsQualificationsCWI Certification (AWS QC1 required)Familiarity with relevant codes: AWS D1.1, D1.6, B2.1, A2.4, ASME Section IX, AGS-G006Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Adobe AcrobatBasic AutoCAD experience a plusHours are:Monday through Friday - 7am to 3:30pmThe pay is up to $45.00 an hour based on experienceBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceGroup insurance9 paid holidays40 hours sick time401KEducational assistanceEmployee discounts for tools purchased by the companyBereavement leaveShort term and long term disability insurance - company pays 100%Vacation - 40 hours 1st year, 2nd through 5th - 80 hours, 8 hours accrued yearly afterwards until 160 hours is reachedCompany pays for five sets of uniforms
