Job SummaryThe General Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations and executing company strategies to meet short- and long-term goals. This role manages operational strategies, business processes, and systems across distribution, production, warehousing, inventory, and logistics. The GM ensures efficiency in order fulfillment, cost, quality, and waste control while monitoring KPIs and setting performance targets for teams and individuals. A strong systems thinker and leader, the GM drives accountability, aligns operations with company objectives, and ensures smooth execution of production schedules and staffing needs.Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee overall operations to maximize sales, profitability, and forecasted financial performance, Lead, coach, and develop warehouse, production, and supervisory teams; foster cross-functional collaboration with sales, finance, IT, and other departments.Implement and optimize operational strategies, business processes, and systems across distribution, order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory, and transportation.Manage production schedules and resources to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Oversee facilities and equipment maintenance, repairs, and improvement projects to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.Establish and monitor KPIs (e.g., scrap rate, safety incidents, capacity utilization, labor efficiency) and use data analytics to drive continuous improvement.Ensure accurate inventory systems, proper warehousing, and timely inbound/outbound shipments while pursuing cost-reduction opportunities.Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, compliance, and risk reduction.Create and manage the department budget; manage financial reporting and resource allocation.Support ERP and other company software integrations into daily business functions.Ensure compliance with OSHA, industry safety protocols, and state, local, and federal employment regulations.Stay current on industry best practices, promote teamwork across the organization, and lead special projects as assigned by senior management.Promote company policies and participate in required company-wide programs as directed.Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines at all timesCompetencies/Personal CharacteristicsSelf-starter who is able to work with minimal direction and supervisionAdheres to a strong commitment to higher quality and performanceFoster a positive work culture that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Demonstrate good judgment and escalate practical matters to management with an understanding of the job responsibilities and knowledge of how it impacts others and the business operationsExcellent communication and interaction skills both written and verbal.Attention to detail skillsMust be flexible with work hoursStrong daily work schedule and task completion disciplineEducation/Experience RequisitesMinimum 10 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment and/or business managementBachelors' degree in engineering, business management or other related courseworkAdvanced computer skills including MS Office Suite, Google Apps, ERP software, and project management softwareDemonstrate strong knowledge of ERP and MRP systemsTravel as needed
