Our client, a machinery manufacturer, is looking for an HR Manager to join their team. This is a direct hire role and fully onsite in Gainesville, GA.All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.Role Overview:This onsite leadership role will report directly to the HR Director and have a dotted-line relationship to the Plant Manager. The HR Manager will own the day-to-day HR operations for the Gainesville site.The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environments, and brings a strong manufacturing HR background. They must be confident working with senior leaders, influencing directors, and leading a team of up to 4 HR Generalists.Key Responsibilities:Lead HR Strategy for the Gainesville siteManage a team of HR Generalists, providing leadership, coaching, and accountability.Attend Plant Manager staff meetings twice per month to align HR with operational needs.Partner closely with department directors and the Plant Manager on:Manpower planningLeadership developmentInternal communicationsDrive day-to-day HR operations, including:Employee relationsConflict resolutionCoaching and performance managementFMLA administration (limited scope)Employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and termination recommendationsMaintain and manage time and attendance systems at the plant level.Ensure compliance with all employment laws: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.Assist in the development and implementation of HR metrics and tracking systems.Help shape and maintain a strong company culture and employee engagement strategy.Ensure internal HR processes align with plant goals and employee needs.Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree required (Human Resources, Business, or related field)10+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment5+ years of direct team management experienceFMLA expertise and solid knowledge of labor law complianceExperience with HR metrics, manpower planning, and employee relationsMust be a self-starter with strong communication and influencing skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel is requiredMust be comfortable working onsite 5 days/week "” no remote or hybrid optionsKey Traits for Success:Strong leadership presenceCalm under pressure in a busy/chaotic environmentSkilled communicator with all levels of employeesComfortable making tough calls and having hard conversationsAdept at aligning people strategies with plant operations
