A few of your daily tasks may include:Performing general grounds maintenance to keep outdoor areas clean, safe, and well-keptWeeding flower beds, garden areas, and landscaped areasWatering plants, lawns, and other vegetation as neededPlanting flowers, shrubs, and seasonal vegetationPruning trees, bushes, and other plants to maintain healthy growth and appearanceOperating basic landscaping tools and equipment safely and effectivelyAssisting with minor repairs or upkeep of outdoor facilities and walkwaysAs a Park Maintenance team member, you will gain hands-on experience in a wide range of landscape and grounds maintenance tasks, from identifying and addressing issues with plant health to implementing effective maintenance solutions.Youll be involved in a variety of park maintenance activities, including natural areas management, invasive species control, pesticide applications, trail maintenance, greenhouse production, and responding to inclement weather events such as flooding and snow removal. Must possess a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record per the Citys Drivers Use of Vehicles for City Business policy throughout employment with the City.Preferred Requirements: Four (4) years of experience in parks landscaping, arboriculture, or equivalent experience or education.
